Thanks here is my current disc supporting :-

on 5ghz  1 x 650  mbps 1 x 351 Mbps on 2.4 1 x65 and 1 x 78.

As you can see in the picture Manager says Dual band NO.

That only reinforces my theory.

The hub doesn't know the capabilities of the disc, all it knows is that it can contact it on the 2.4GHz band but not the 5GHz one so it assumes that it is not dual band.

why not use powerline connectors to connect from bedroom to router, do away with wifi altogether, this is ow my grandsons PS5 connects to the internet.

PS5 - cable - powerline box in power socket via mains wiring to powerline beside router - cable - router
