I know there are stacks of questions and explanations about repurposing a hub as an access point - either hard wired via network cable or utilising powerline etc.
Is it physically impossible (I.e. wrong tech on board) to repurpose one and use it just like a disc; I.e. plugged in elsewhere and repeating the signal as part of the mesh system?
I think it is but all roads seem to lead back to an historic forum answer which only covers access points. Thanks.
