A few weeks ago, I successfully set the names of several connected devices. I wanted to go back in, after confirming another device. However, I can no longer see how to do it.
My memory is that previously I went in through the network map, selected a device for change and entered my admin password.
Now, when I select change, I only get IP/firewall options, and the name is never editable.
It may be coincidence, but I have added another disc since the last time I successfully made changes

Hi @mike_snowden,
Thanks for visiting the BT Community
If you are using Whole home Wi-Fi, was it not logging in there and going to the device tabs to edit the names you did previously? The FAQ help page has the information on how to login and how to edit the devices names.
Alex
@mike_snowden I recently came across the same issue, but found the solution to be the MyBT app where you can manage your network and change device names. When you go back in to Hub Manager in a browser, you should see the changed names reflected there. However, it is a bit annoying that some things you could do via a browser now have to be done via an app instead.
@mike_snowden Once you access the Whole Home Wi Fi settings, if you go to the Devices tab and then click device information on a device are you able to rename them there?
Have you been able to try and edit via the My BT app as suggested?
Alex
That DID let me change names, once I worked out where. But it didn't show me all the names....
Still experimenting!
where ???
Hey there, @davidwf15
I've had a check of this at my end, and I'm able to sort this via the Hub Manager.
Once connected, select Manage Devices and enter your admin password.
This should then give you a list of your devices, and you can select individual options, then change the name via 'Manage Settings'.
Peter
thanks for your reply
nope, that is exactly what I USED to be able to do but not any more
The option to change device name is not highlighted e.g. attached
If I cklick on "change settings" again nothing is highlighted to allow changing
some devices have populated their names but even those cannot be changed as they used to

Cheers, @davidwf15
I'm using a SH2 so this could be a differentiation between models.
I'll have an ask around and see if we can get a definitive answer on this 😊
