Digital Voice Smart Hub and mesh WiFi

I have a Whole Home WiFi with several white disks around home, each Ethernet linked to a Sky tv hub so as to access Sky on different tvs around house - it was the only way I could channel SkY tv around the house but that’s a different story. I know these white disks do not mesh with the DV Smart Hub 2. I have read the BT Complete disks do create a mesh with the Smart Hub 2 that comes with DV installation. So if I buy a few Complete disks will I be able to extend the WiFi from the Smart Hub 2 and create local Ethernet links in different rooms? I am not a techie. Thanks.

Why do you need the hub to mesh? How often do you wander around needing seamless transition between signals?

Absolutely no reason why the hub can't operate on it's own SSID alongside the white disc mesh SSID.

I thought the white disks were attached at the first disk to the WH hub and then mesh to all the others to provide a much wider wifi spread around a big house. I have needed several disks to get blue light signal strength for connecting to sky boxes, cameras all around etc. I need to extend my WiFi and if the white disks don’t work with the new DV Smart Hub I’m stuck unless something else is recognised by the DV Smart Hub 2.

The first white disc connects by Ethernet to the router and then it and the rest of the discs distribute the mesh around the house. The white discs don't form a wifi mesh with the router. It will be just the same as it is now.

It doesn't matter what the router is. You can either turn the Wifi off on the router and just have the mesh or you can keep the wifi on on the router and have 2 wifi networks. Your devices will still switch to the strongest signal but won't form a seamless mesh.
