Echo dot connection

Hey folks im trying to connect echo dot 2nd gen to bt smart hub ive tried lots of things but still no joy any help appreciated

Not far at all i see the device in wifi but as soon as try to connect just wont at all then i get the message this device is updating then orange light on echo but its not even connected to wifi as says offline

Na gave up managed one time to get it going but not anymore

That's a pity.

Recently I've had problems with several of our Echo devices going offline & having to reconnect them.

I assume that when you tried you were near the router with Bluetooth activated.

Eventually I had to reset the Echo Flexes & Dots by pressing the activation button for around 30 seconds.

The first message after about 10 seconds says "Now in setup mode" but ignore that & keep the button pressed until you get the "Resetting your device, this will take about a minute" then release the button & wait till you get the message saying that your Dot has been reset.

Then start the process from scratch.

I had to do this a couple of times with each device.
