Ethernet connection to pc needed ?

Do I need an ethernet cable for the internet ? I have a BT Smart Hub 2 router and pc.

I've gone in to Device Manager and in the Network adapters, found Realtek 8812AE Wireless Lan.
Is this sufficient ?
