IPV6 problem
Hi, currently have Full Fibre 500, looking for some help/advice with my IPV6, never had any issues however I noticed some devices were not getting IPV6 addresses, checked the Hub 2 and IPV6 is enabled however I noticed under the IPV6 Lan details section not all the addresses are there, is this an issue with the configuration on the line or an issue with the Hub?
I've restarted the Hub and also power cycled the ONT however it doesn't change or resolve itself.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
Kevin

Re: IPV6 problem
Is the IPv6 DHCP enabled?
You’re not showing a global unicast address there. Are you getting a prefix on the WAN details?

Re: IPV6 problem
Here is a snip of the whole screen and the configuration tab, is there another tab to check?

Re: IPV6 problem
That looks the same as mine, apart from the :: for the global address for the LAN-side.
It's strange that there's no GA for the LAN. :: is the equivalent of the IPv4 0.0.0.0, meaning it's not picking up an address, as you said.
With "stateless" the devices would have to be set to use SLAAC and just getting the router advertisement for the prefix but that should be the default anyway.
I would expect that to work. The only thing I can think of at the moment is to try it on stateful, (i.e. the equivalent of IPv4 DHCP), and see if that makes any difference.

Re: IPV6 problem
There is also the “Both” setting, which I assume is there for things that can’t cope with autogenerating their own host address.
Still seems strange the hub isn’t giving itself an address though, as that should autogenerate? Are you seeing “Neighbour Solicit” messages in the log, (which is devices checking with their neighbours that they’ve not picked the same address)?

Re: IPV6 problem
Hi, thanks for your advice, this issue seems to have resolved itself strangly, I rebooted last night and nothing changed, however this morning after another reboot the address was present and now devices are receiving IPV6 again, I will monitor to see how it goes, appreciate your input and advice. cheers
