if you were able to give the 2.4 and 5ghz different SSID and passwords then you are not using a SH2 as that does not have facility to split the 2.4/5ghz.
the simplest way was to turn off 5ghz network in hub then connect TV to 2.4ghz and once connected turn the 5ghz network back on
Hey, thanks yhats very kind. So what is mac filtering BTW?
spot on
good catch thanks
so with the craphub2 as the name I gave it, I did need to disable the 5ghz
With Virginia media I had the ability to use different passwords
also have a draytec and that also has the ability to split wifi passwords with 2.4 and 5
good info. This would have spun people around trying to find that on the Sh2
👍👍👍
So you " fixed" it by what was suggested in message 2.
ie turn off 5Ghz and connect to 2.4Ghz then turn on 5Ghz.
