Locked Data Speeds on Full Fibre 900

Any Ideas and or reasoning behind the random lock applied to my broadband without warning locking my maximum speeds to 100/100?

Stay Fast guarantee says it should be 700Mbps with the Estimated speed at 900

How are you measuring this lock or becoming aware of it?  I ask because a common reason people believe their connections are being restricted is often that their devices use WiFi hardware that are not capable of using the bandwidth offered by the router!

I only learn by making mistakes and owning up to them - boy do I learn a lot!

Re: Locked Data Speeds on Full Fibre 900

Speeds on all of my devices were sitting at 700-900 since installation, all the cables are registered Cat6 and on my Router settings it says Data rate:100 Mbps / 100 Mbps which is significantly lower than what I am paying for, I have not noticed as to how long it has been applied either but all my devices Ethernet or Wifi are maxing at 100Mbps

"my Router settings it says Data rate:100 Mbps / 100 Mbps"

This sounds suspiciously like a fault with either an ethernet cable or an ethernet device somewhere in your setup.

Based on that, and my previous post, my money is on the ethernet cable between your router and the ONT. Try re-seating both ends of the cable first of all, (ie unplug and plug back in). If that doesn't fix it, try a different cable of CAT5E, or above.

Occasionally the auto-negotiation between the ethernet ports screws up and drops back to 100Mb/s.
