Hi,
I am trying to set up my new internet but the hub or disk only have Ethernet plugs and no way to connect to a phone line. My instructions say to plug in to a phone line but I can’t - what do I do please?

Welcome to this user forum for BT Retail phone and broadband customers.
Which broadband package do you have?
Is there any additional Openreach equipment installed, which has lights on it?
Hi,
I have an EE smart hub and disk.
there is one slot for Ethernet cable and power and no other connection ports
I assume you are an EE customer, you will need to post on the EE forum, and one of the team there should be able to advise.
EE is a separate company within the BT Group.
Hi, no it’s through BT
Then I have no idea, as I am not familiar with the EE hub, only the BT Smart Hub 2.
I have not seen anyone on this forum discuss the EE hub which I understand is different externally, but the same inside. Not sure why BT Retail would send you an EE hub.
The BT Smart Hub 2 has a DSL connection on the back, and looks like this.
There is a broadband cable connected as shown.
Have you read this https://ee.co.uk/help/broadband/getting-started/set-up-guide
I would suggest asking on the EE forum for advice.
Despite describing a Smart Hub, it sounds like you have a Hybrid Connect device. This is intended to connect to the router & provide 4G backup if the broadband fails. Did you sign up for this in addition to broadband?
Depending on the answer you've either been sent it in error or the router has gone astray. If this is indeed the case you need to contact BT/EE, depending on who you signed up with, & request a router.
@Emmielb7 your order included adding Hybrid Connect and Complete WiFi, so you were sent a Hybrid Connect device, and a Complete WiFi disc. Your existing Smart Hub 2 should still be used, and the 2 new devices paired with it.
