New Contract

Go to solution

My 2 year contract was coming to an end. I decided to stay another 2 years and changed my Broadband package to one that looks to be a bit faster (previously on full fibre 300, opted for full fibre 500). I received a text message this morning suggesting that I need to "set up" my new broadband and TV. But as an existing customer is there anything I now need to do? Or will the new high speed broadband just kick in automatically?
Clearly I do still have active broadband but is there any way for me to check what broadband package I'm now on?
Thanks.

You do not need to change anything. It is just a generic email that is sent out.

If you log onto your MyBT and go to Your Orders it will show what package you are now on.

You could also do speed test which should show an increase on what you had.

Thank you, that's what I was hoping to hear.

Going from 300mbps to 500mbps you will need to drastically lower your expectations...I seriously doubt if you'll notice any difference.

Oh well, maybe I've opted to pay £2 a month more for effectively no change? I'll survive.....

Plus the regular price increase built into all contract which is due to take effect from 31st March.

As sung by Gloria Gaynor, "I will survive" too! 😂

There's no price rise for Broadband if the plan is activated after 1 March 2026. The next rise will be in 2027

Also it's a fixed price so 150mbps or 900mbps it's the same
