Mine updated late last month and I have the same observation. BTs secrecy about what the firmware actually does is hugely frustrating, a cynic might suggest its because we can't hold them to account over that which we don't know, but one has to assume that it changes the scanning and is either creating false positives or is now detecting stuff the previous one couldn't... guess we'll have to wait for the next one to see...
