Port forwarding Camera I-P`s

I am trying to get my Security Camera`s back online. I have managed with 3 of them but the last 2 are proving problematic. The issue appears to be related to Port forwarding?. 3 camera`s have no issues, but using the dedicated I-P address` for the other two brings up error “Camera` not found”. The only difference would appear to be that the 2 cam`s concerned are POE and not just Cat5 Hard wired or Wi-Fi. I should note that ALL 5 worked with my previous I-P supplier (K-Com) and a T-P Link Router.

Edit:- It has been suggested to turn off "Smart Setup". But mine only shows as "restart hub"

Re: Port forwarding Camera I-P`s

Smart set up has been removed from BT Hubs and is no longer relevant.

Re: Port forwarding Camera I-P`s

I could be wrong but I think the BT Smarthub does not support POE. If I'm correct you would need to get a POE injector, cost about £15 or change the 2 cameras.

Re: Port forwarding Camera I-P`s

Are you trying to access the cameras remotely using their local (192.xxx.xxx.xxx) IP address? if so it wont work even if port forwarding is correctly setup, I suspected those that are working are using DDNS addresses

Re: Port forwarding Camera I-P`s

Out side of the Location, They are accesed via my DDNS (No-Ip) the 3 Cams work perfectly It`s only the two POE cam`s that give issue.

Re: Port forwarding Camera I-P`s

The POE injector(s) are set up to feed via the Hub. Which feeds to the Router. What bugs me is they ALL worked with the previous tp-Link Router!. I quite literaly transposd the settings verbatim. Pete

Re: Port forwarding Camera I-P`s

The only thing that comes to mind is the change in gateway address (from 192.168.1.1. to 192.168.1.254), are the two that aren't working setup with static IP and gateway?

Re: Port forwarding Camera I-P`s

There should be a way to reset the cameras to factory settings, try that and set them up again from scratch.
