Re: Websites blocked with following You don't have permission to access "http://www.argos.co.uk

I had a problem with a website that I use all the time. It is our local theatre where I am a volunteer. I also have various pages on their site bookmarked on my phone. Yesterday I was on their website in the morning quite happily on my mobile when the website just disappeared off my screen with no warning or explanation. I tried to get back on but the screen just appeared to freeze and not even attempt to get on to the site. I then tried my husband's mobile and both our laptops and still nothing. So I phoned the theatre to ask if their website had gone down and they said not. I spent most of the day trying on all our devices but still nothing so again contacted the theatre who said that they would get their web guy to check their website the next day. Last night I just could not let this go so I phoned my son who lives in London to check the website from his phone as I thought it might be a local issue. He had not problem. I slept on it and this morning still the same problem so I thought last resort turn off the router, wait then turn on again. This I did and can now see all the pages on the theatre website on all our devices. I don't have any of the BT protect or parental controls turned on either and never have so it is a complete mystery to me why this ever happened. I guess I should have remembered that like a lot of technology these days. Turn it off, wait a few minutes and turn it on again always seems to work but goodness knows how and why? Maybe technology gets a bit tired just like me an old lady of 75!!! Hope this will help someone who finds themselves in a similar situation. Have sent an email to theatre so hopefully they won't have gone to any expense getting the web guy in yet.
