Re: Router and Disc pairing

So does that mean that I need one by the existing router and then the other is hardwired in the shed 25m away

Re: Router and Disc pairing

Let's start again.

Is there an Ethernet cable going to the shed?

Does the shed have a mains socket?

If it does, is the socket on the same consumer unit as the Hub?

Re: Router and Disc pairing

Yes. I assume you are doing this because you do not have an Ethernet cable from the house to the shed?

Re: Router and Disc pairing

Ok,

I think I have cracked it….

I am installing an Ethernet cable from the BT Hub to the shed which will be about 40m long. On the end of that there will be a TP-link AC1200 Wi-Fi  Router and that should do it, hopefully….

EE gave me a 4g hub but even though they say the $G is good in this area, it is a frustrating unit and freezes up. Therefore, back it goes….

Re: Router and Disc pairing

You don't need a router in the shed, a wireless access point will suffice.
