I have installed a replacement router. I have internet access but it says limited access. When I access some sites I get a message unable to locate domain name servers.
is the replacement a new BT hub/router or a 3rd party device
are you on FTTC or FTTP?
What DNS servers did you enter on the new router?
I didn't enter one. I just selected my router by the SSID and entered the Wifi password. Then connected to 192,168,1,254 and entered the Admin password, I looked at what it has and it has 81.139,56,100 as primary and 81.139.57.100 as secondary.
It is a BT home hub, exactly like I had before. It supports digital phone. Both handsets are working.
I am on Fibre to Premises
Make sure the hub is set for fttp working.
Yes. FTTP is on. Could this be a Windows problem?
Under properties for the Wifi Connection under Advanced there is a setting for "Enable Federal Processing Standards for this connection" which is not checked.
