Smart Hub with TP link AC1200 mesh network

I have bought the tplink deco ac1200 mesh network and I’m currently trying to set it up. What is the best way of setting it up? I’ve tried it in router mode and acces point mode and both ways it says I have no internet connection.

Thanks for any help.

We need a lot more information for a start.

What service do you have, FTTC or FTTP?

Are you trying to connect the TP Link directly or in conjunction with a BT hub?

Do you have Digital Voice?

Do you want a voice service?

Re: Smart Hub with TP link AC1200 mesh network

Sorry I’m not massively tech savvy. I’m currently with BT fibre and don’t have a digital voice service. I don’t mind how it’s set up, just as long as it works. As I say, I’ve tried various ways of setting it up and configuration but can’t get an internet connection. I’m not sure whether it’s fttp or fttc but I can try and find out, where would I find that?

@Tastybowl

I have a similar system (Tenda) & it more or less worked out of the box.

I just chose one of the nodes as the primary node, downloaded the app & plugged the node into one of the router LAN ports.

It was then just a case of following the instructions on the app.

Once the primary node was connected all I had to do was go into the wireless settings on the app & change the SSID & password to match those of the router & that was it.

The other nodes installed automatically as soon as they were powered up.
