Smart hub 2 and NoIP DDNS

Go to solution

I have  a BT  Smart Hub 2  and want to use  NoIP DDNS .

I have set up a NoIP account with a password alpha numeric , lower  case  no special characters .

I have set up NoIP in the DDNS page  on my Smart Hub 2  , double checking that all the details are  correct but it still shows an Error  ..... " Host Name Not Recognised "   its a ddns.net  host name so should work  but it doesnt .

I tried phoning BT but they didnt have a clue what I was talking about !!!!

Anyone on here who can help me solve the problem please .

Thanks

Please do not post the same question across multiple boards. It only causes confusion and duplication of answers should you get any.

'It' being what? The hub, or something else.

No need for the exclamation mark, 'it' could have been anything. You need to be precise.

Did you select 'Dynamic DNS as 'On' and then 'Save' before trying to configure the service?

It works just fine for me.

Dynamic DNS is set to " ON"  and I clicked save  but the smart hub 2  still will not accept the hostname
