Hi, I got super fast bt fibre broadband at the end of last year.
I've noticed that when using phone or tablet in the same room as the router I only get speeds of 5-45mbsp.
Is there any easy way to improve this?

Hi @Ian-M
We'll do our best to help.
We have a What affects Wi-Fi signal in your home help page, which explains the best ways to set up your router. You can also test your broadband too, and if a problem is recognised on your line, we'll give you some information on what we're doing to fix it.
Let us know how you're getting on please.
Chris
Thanks for your reply.
I checked my speed today and it's strange that my speed from hub to phone suddenly changed to around 250mbps. I guess someone must be "looking in" on what's happening?
Thanks for the update, @Ian-M
Keep an eye on it. If you feel there may be a problem, it's best to follow the advice I posted above and get it reported to our technical support team. They'll be happy to look into it and try and help.

Thanks , will do!
@Ian-M There's a myriad of stuff that could cause slow WiFi speeds on your mobile phone or tablet, even if you're literally sat next to the router. WiFi traffic congestion, i.e. a large amount of other devices connected to the same signal on either 2.4 or 5ghz. The age of devices themselves can also be a factor. With PC's and laptops, out of date WiFi drivers or old WiFi cards are quite often a problem because owners rarely update anything. Only a few months back, I installed a brand new WiFi card in my own PC and it dramatically increased both the connectivity and overall speed of my WiFi experience on the PC.
Try clearing out cookies and old website data from your phone and tablet. Something as simple as just turning on airplane mode and then switching it off again can also improve WiFi speeds.
Thanks for the info!
