Using my new router before changeover to fibre

I’m currently with Plusnet and waiting for my fibre to be installed.

I was wondering if I can just plug in my new router using the broadband socket and use it on Plusnet.

the thing is can I change the broadband username to my Plusnet one easily. I tried just plugging it in without changing anything and it didn’t connect, just steady orange light.

Re: Using my new router before changeover to fibre

The BT hub is locked to the generic BT PPPoE credentials and cannot be changed
