I have just got a vr400 to link VDSL router to replace my smart hub 2. When I connect my new modem/router I only get 50% of the Sync speed. My sh2 syncs at 32Mbps but the new router only syncs at 15Mbps Im lost with this one can any one help
Sounds like a disconnection on one wire, are you using the new RJ11 lead that came with the VR400, and is it plugged into exactly the same place as the BT home hub was, and the home hub is now disconnected?
I thought it could be that so changed everything the rj11 is brand new,new complete faceplate it's a tp link vr400 version 2 do you think it connects no problem but the sync speed max is way below the smart hub 2 got me stumped as my line has been checked double checked and is fault free now working well with the smart hub but I want to use the 3rd part for QoS and split WiFi
Firmware is up to date etc im out of ideas was wondering if it was a known issue between the to link and fttc VDSL broadband
What is the downstream noise margin showing on the VR400?
Does the hub still sync at 32M or is that a figure it synced at previously?
I'm wondering if you have upset DLM with multiple disconnections whilst configuring the TP Link
from your previous posts you were having problems with your connection dropping and if you have been trying a few resets installing tplink then as @licquorice suggested the DLM may have taken action and reduced your connection speed
Yeah strange one my line was repaired outside my property so all good now, and I've only tried once with the new hub as to not upset the DLM but strange how to smart hub syncs perfectly at 32 but the tp link vr 400 syncs or starts to sync so low
