Wall socket & adaptor? replacement

Who would I need to contact to get a wall socket and adaptor replaced as the wires are in a pretty poor state and just about hanging on. 

Any advice would be appreciated

Assuming you are with BT it's 0800 800 150. 

What adaptor do you mean?

FInally managed to upload a picture. 

The wiring is just about hanging on in the top left of the 2

looks like up to you to get it fixed.  if you don't know someone who can fix it then look up local paper for telecom engineer who will be able to fix it   Looks like just a normal phone extension cable

the filter will be ok

As Imjolly has stated, that is not a bit of BT equipment. You would have to arrange your own repair or purchase a new extension cable.

@Sausagefingers23  There's no phoneline shown connected to that filter. If that's the case, then you shouldn't need the filter.

The extension lead is very basic, sold by most hardware shops in varying lengths.

You need the filter only purely as a pstn to RJ11 adaptor as you cannot plug the router into that type of extension lead.
