Did you get this resolved , im having the exact same problem and keep getting passed from Pillar to post with Openreach and BT

No I haven’t replaced that cable I will try it thanks
My own analysis led me to belive that my IP was being blocked by BT's DNS as they thought it was being used for spam or something similar. So whilst I was technically "connected" to the internet, no URLs would resolve to an IP address. Interestingly, if I entered the IP address of a site instead of its URL then it worked fine.
