The checker was always intended for the ISP to use not the customer, the fact that access was available by consumers was not a feature, more of a ‘loophole’ that was never closed ……you say it was useful in diagnosing problems, but this is for your provider to do , not you …..if you can’t see this any longer , that’s just tough luck , your provider has the necessary tools and it’s their job to diagnose problems, not yours, what’s more , even if you could ‘see’ issues using this tool , you still had to contact your provider, same as you do now
True, but with useless non technical helpdesk sitting offshore somewhere that don't understand much (BT) ... it helps to know as much information as possible to get to resolving the issue that little bit quicker - IP profile information as was that vital piece of info that's now not available.
