My question would be: What "fairly advanced" network tools are you using? I ask because it's some of the common tools are not designed to be used in the background while other tasks are in use. For example, running scheduled speed tests can kill video conferencing!
I only learn by making mistakes and owning up to them - boy do I learn a lot!
