Australian Open Tennis Exhibition Matches not on linear channels

Alcaraz v De Minaur currently  live on discovery+ (Eurosport)  but not on the linear Eurosport channels that are on EETV .

Why is there no EETV coverage of this event ?

There seems to be a worrying trend whereby significant tennis matches are not being broadcast on linear channels.

It'll be an eurosport decision as rights holders & where they choose to show them

but @garybs29  Eurosports Uk rights are I believe included in the Joint Venture owned  currently by BT and WBD.  Ie WBD put in the Eurosport UK rights and BT put in the BT sports rights to Joint venture . So why are the linear EPG channels not getting content ?

The schedule for Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 should be exactly the same in the d+ app as is seen on the linear channels. Are you saying this isn't the case? Or was the tennis app-exclusive content?

The match was not shown live  on either Eurosport1 or Eurosport 2 and didn’t or doesn’t appear in their schedules. 
 
It was on discovery + with timeline with Eurosport DOG .

Match promoted as   “watch on Eurosport and discovery+”.

OK so it could be either that discovery didn't have the rights to broadcast those specific matches on linear, or they weren't considered popular enough to bump the programmes that were shown on Eurosport 1 and 2. Unlike TNT Sports where there are 6 "spare" channels to overflow onto, Eurosport needs to decide whether it goes on 1/2, or app-only.
