Discovery+ app change of content navigation behaviour

After watching MotoGP over the weekend I am now catching up with the WSB racing from the weekend which is now on its new home on a TNT Sport channel after the closure of Eurosport.

The issue I am seeing is that after watching one race and pressing Return that instead of returning to the WSB content list with the just watched race highlighted, focus is now returning all the way back to the first (latest) item in the content list.  This means having to tab all the way right again to get back to the next chronological race still to be watched.

Surely this is not an intentional change?

This is using the app on my Chromecast dongle.  I suppose I need to play around and see if the same is now also happening with other sports categories such as Champions League and also with the app on my Youview box, phone and tablet but would like to hear if anyone else has encountered this?

Now checked Champions League on the Chromecast dongle and the app on my tablet and seeing the same behaviour so it is is looking like something that has changed at Discovery+ Central that affects all content across all platforms.

Guess it is time to sign up to their support forum and see if it can be changed back as for me it is a bug that needs fixing.

Found a workaround which is to quickly left tab after pressing Return.

Was catching up with the European Conference League highlights this morning and the navigation on that was as normal and expected.

Went back to the WSB coverage from the last round and that was better than as described above but not quite perfect. Will wait to see how the well it works on the coverage from this weekend ...

Just checked on yesterday's coverage of WSB and that worked properly. Looks like they fixed something at Discovery+ Central without even realising it was broken.

Curious! I had a recurrence of this earlier today on WSB coverage despite it working properly the day before on the same content list and also subsequently.
