Re: Email re TNT

Just badly worded. As Darren Dev explained TNT HD is now available as standard, which will see a reduction on your bill.

Re: Email re TNT

I've had a long discussion with the team about this, and it's a little more complicated than originally thought.

If you have a Sky box activated for TNT Sports that is CAPABLE of UHD and you had the HD add on, then you WILL still be charged for the HD add-on - to cover the UHD channel.  If you didn't already have the HD add-on then it won't be added, but UHD won't be available to you unless you request to add it (for the £6 charge per month).

If you DON'T have any Sky boxes activated with TNT Sports that are capable of UHD then SD customers will automatically be upgraded to HD at no charge, and customers with the HD add-on will no longer be charged for it.

My understanding is that the Sky + box is the only box NOT capable of UHD.  If you have Sky Q or Sky Stream then they are capable (even if your TV is not), and so the charge will remain.  You can obviously choose to cancel the add-on, if you only wanted HD and UHD isn't of interest to you.

Re: Email re TNT

Well, thanks for taking the time out to investigate this and to provide a clear answer.

But I must call out the original BT email here, as it is complete nonsense and does not explain what is happening.

Dealing with BT is about the worst experience I have ever had and I wish I felt able to move away from them. I don't because my BT email is so entrenched with so many other aspects of my online life that I dread the prospect of trying to move. So you have me, BT and there's nothing I can do. BT "Brilliant Things" is a joke of an advertising campaign. BT are appalling to deal with.

Re: Email re TNT

You can still keep your bt email address if you cancel your bt  broadband or tv package. I know because I have moved away from bt to an alt net  supplier, my email works perfectly well.
