Re: IPC 6023 ERROR MESSAGE -TNT SPORTS HD- BT(HUMAX) BOX

Like I said at the start it's an old box

The fact that it's not wifi enabled in 2025 is comical.

Ring BT explain the situation and you will get a replacement box

That replacement box will be a pro box.

Having the box connected via wifi is not necessarily the answer. My elderly next door neighbour had his box connected this way as his tv is in the opposite corner of his lounge to his Smart Hub. He had lots of issues and BT came and fitted powerline  adapters for him, and he’s had a far more reliable service since.
I’ve been using them for almost 4 years with our setup too and they’ve been faultless. We are now able to upgrade to FTTP, but as we’re still in contract, we’re considering our options. I note the comments made here about having a speed which is too much for the set up to cope with. We don’t really need anything much more than we already have, so will take that into consideration.

Yes, our adapters have also been going a few years as had the originals. Instinctively, I feel that to do away with all the connections ( adapters, ethernet cables) should be better but , in our case, our hub has to be upstairs with the tv downstairs in the lounge so not ideal. We are on Fibre 2 which is perfectly adequate for our needs and I will resist any push to make us upgrade to FTTP when our contract renews next year .
