Re: NBA on TNT Sports

Indeed. TNT Sports not looking too good at the moment as far as its rights for U.K. and Ireland are concerned. They have not renewed the European Champions and European Challenge Cups rugby union for next season, and these rights are expected to go to Premier Sports. A similar scenario looks like playing out with the National League for the 5th tier of English football rights. There are also reports that Frank Warren’s Queensbury boxing stable will move over to DAZN to join up with Eddie Hearn’s Marchroom after the TNT deal ends at the end of 2025. Also the carriage deal with Virgin has not been renewed which could result in TNT Sports disappearing from that platform. The French Ligue 1 rights have not been renewed for next season yet either, although a new 3 year deal for Serie A was announced earlier this week.

Re: NBA on TNT Sports

@Brucemeister5 they're now exploring a break up because Discovery/Warner have realised that the business model doesn't work. In the same way Disney has and all other streaming platforms apart from Prime and Netflix have and to a lesser degree, AppleTV but they're even cutting budgets. The streaming wars are imploding

NBA fans should also be aware that Disney NBA rights may be available eg.

In a new initiative starting with the 2025-26 NBA season, Disney’s international package of NBA and WNBA games will be available to stream on its digital platforms, including on Disney+ in select markets around the world making this Disney’s most significant global sports expansion.

Also WBD are challenging the new arrangements
