Purchased content on BTTA App

Go to solution

Hi all,

I have cancelled my BT Services including BTTV.  Over the years, I have purchased a large number of films.  Can I still access these via the BTTV App once the account is closed?

Thanks.

Yes. Currently restricted to just the mobile apps, but opening up to all BT TV apps in the next few months.

Thanks Darren.

What confused me was a section of the cancelation comms saying 7 days:

Your access to the BT TV app will change

If you bought any TV programmes, box-sets or films, you'll be able to stream or download them using the BT TV app up to seven days after your service stops. But you won't be able to use the app for anything else. Your BT TV App Extra add-on will also stop.

OK yes, that wording is pretty poor - it means it could be up to 7 days after your account is ceased before the app will then work again. Also the bit about App Extra is no longer relevant.
I'll see if I can get the wording improved.

Could you please send me an email at tv.apps@bt.com with your BT ID, closed account number, and the error you're seeing. I'll get it sorted.

Thanks Darren,

All seems to be working on now. I can access on Web, iPhone and iPad.

Did you say that the Apple TV app would be working for people like me, later this year?
