TNT Activation

Go to solution

Hi,

I've been able to watch BT Sports for the last few years as part of our BT Broadband package and haven't paid any extra for it. I'm not sure how to activate Discovery+ as it references BT TV, which we don't have. Is Discovery+ now something that I'll now have to pay for ? If not, then could somebody help me with activating it ?

Thanks

Somehow you've managed to slip through the cracks Stephen - you still have the free entitlement to BT Sport that was included with BT Broadband when it first launched, but was stopped many years ago.  Your access to the BT Sport app should have been limited to just BT Sport 1 with no additional features, however this restriction was never applied to your account.

To some of our systems you currently look like a BT TV subscriber to BT Sport, so it'll tell you to go to MyBT to activate it, but as you don't actually have a BT TV subscription, the option won't appear there.

I'm afraid you're not eligible for discovery+.  Your TNT Sports access (via the BT Sport app) will continue until the app is shut down in October.

HI,

Thanks for getting back to me. I hadn't realised that, I just assumed that as I could access all of the Sports Channels was part of the having the BT broadband.

What are my options from October ? I'm guessing that I will need to start paying for it if I want to continue ? I only tend to watch the Serie A games and the occasional Champions League game, so would just need a package that includes them.

Yes, you'll need to add a Sport subscription - current options are shown here: https://www.bt.com/sport/buy
Keep an eye on bt.com over the next 3 months though - offers come up frequently, and there's no rush to move straight away.
