There seems a bit of confusion and debate about how TNT Sports are providing coverage of the UEFA club finals this year. This is what HBOMax are currently saying

HBO Max subscribers with any HBO Max subscription plan can watch all 3 of the 2026 UEFA men's finals live on HBO Max.

How do I watch the 2026 UEFA men's finals?

During the finals, you can find the games on the HBO Max Home screen or by searching for 'UEFA'.

• Ads: The 2026 UEFA men's finals will include ads during the TV broadcast.
• Replay: A replay of the finals will be available for a limited time on HBO Max Entertainment plans after the games end. To watch them, search HBO Max for 'UEFA finals'. Replays can't be downloaded.

Can I watch the 2026 UEFA men's finals in 4K UHD?

If you have a TNT Sports plan, you can watch all 3 of the 2026 UEFA men's finals in 4K UHD. Subscribers with any HBO Max Entertainment plan can watch the finals in Full HD 1080p.

Note  4K UHD, HDR, and Dolby Atmos availability depends on your plan and device.

So that implies EETV customers with Entertainment or Big Entertainment packages should be able to view these finals - I suspect that they would need to use the HBO Max app which they may need to request access from Now.

The prime minister has apparently written to TNT Sports their current stance of putting the finals behind a paywall. I wonder if he will get the same seemingly AI  autogenerated responces.

There is no confusion 

All three finals are available if you pay £4.99 for a month's subscription on HBO max.

For the first time the champions league final is not being shown free.

I'm surprised that people are surprised at the relentless monetisation of football.

@zulu17 Is correct to point out that EETV subscribers who have the Entertainment or Big Entertainment packages do not need to pay an additional £4.99 to watch these finals. However they will need to activate their access on the HBO Max app by requesting access from NOW as they will not be able to view the finals on the NOW app. 

@DarrenDev Would there be any possibility of the linear channels being made available to all EETV subscribers for the duration of these matches on the night?

This would need permission from WBD. I'll ask if there are any plans already in action.

Someone on another forum has posted that they have had an email telling them that they can watch all 3 finals on the NOW app as part of their subscription. They have subs for Entertainment and HBO max  and Sky Sports directly with NOW. My understanding is that they would need to request access to the HBO Max app from NOW. Or would their Discovery+ login still work if they haven’t used it since 26th March? I am assuming that direct NOW customers are in the same position as EETV customers with Entertainment or Big Entertainment packages.

The final will be shown in the Now app, as well as the HBO Max app.  This removes the need for Now subscribers to contact Now and ask for an HBO Max activation link - although this option remains available for those who choose it.

The channel in the TV Guide is not expected to be opened up to Entertainment subscribers - they'll need to use the Now app.
