IPC6023 error message BTTV

Hi all,

I've had BT TV and BT full fibre broadband since December last year and have all my TV channels through the broadband as I have no working aerial.

Up until today, BT TV has worked brilliantly but today I'm not getting an IPC6023 error message on every channel.

I've followed all the previous guidance for this error message. I've reset the router 3 times, reset the hub, factory reset on the box but same error. WiFi on all my other devices working fine and I can watch the TV channels through the apps with no problem. BT TV box is connected to the hub with an ethernet cable. Any further suggestions before I ring BT?

Re: IPC6023 error message BTTV

I'm a little bit confused by the bit where you say " I've reset the router 3 times, reset the hub", do you mean that you have reset the ONT (which is the modem, not the router)? and the hub? If so then it seems that you've done as much as you can and the problem is likely to be at BT's end.

If you're lucky one of the mods ( @NeilO  or one of his colleagues) will pick up on this thread, which is a much better option than hanging on the phone line for half an hour or more

Re: IPC6023 error message BTTV

Hi Daniel,

Yes I did speak to them this morning but after several attempts at different solutions I still have the same problem and it has now been escalated. If there's anything else you can suggest that would be great.

Regards

Re: IPC6023 error message BTTV

Hi, @Nick180592 Thanks for posting back. If all the checks haven't worked it sounds like a network issue affecting the multicast packets. The moderators escalate these issues to a specialist team as well so I'd recommend giving them a couple of days to get that sorted. If it's still not sorted by Friday post back and we'll be happy to chase this up for you.

Thanks

Neil
