BT have signed up to show MLC 20 cricket from the US. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/cricket/article-12290639/BT-Sport-TNT-Sports-week-strike-broadcast... .
It would seem that TNT Sport’s strategy is to show more live sport and cut down on the discussion/magazine programmes. It’s also been rumoured that they might be interested in Super League rights from 2024 as the RFL are not happy with Sky’s current offer. The Premier League rights for 2025-2028 are due to be put out to tender later this year I understand.
Well the Olympic Park BT Sport studios appear to have been given up earlier this month the studio’s where many of the discussion type programming were based. Eurosport makes use of the Cube rather than traditional studio based discussions. So that does suggest fewer discussion focused programming being produced in-house. Again the reduction of studios would suggest an intention to focus less on in-house production and more on acquiring content from other sources.
