This seems to happen every single time. I've got this set as a series recording and it misses the start. I understand that the YouView system should be able to deal with programmes running over time (it doesn't), but this is a scheduling problem. Today's programme was due to start at 8:00, but was already running before this.
Can something be done to make sure the advertised schedule is correct, please? This isn't coming as a surprise at 1 event, it's every single time. The earlier programme finishes rather than being cut short, so the schedule is clearly planned.
When I can remember, I go in and set the programme before MotoGP to record, but as this changes I can't do it as a series recording and often miss it.
My recording was in the schedule for an 8:00am start but actually started at 7:55am. This used to be a problem but it is no longer as long as you check as near the time as possible that the scheduled series timer is still flagged as ready to rumble.
That's strange, which box do you have? I'm fairly new to BT and have the BT TV Box Pro. I've just finished today's programme and they definitely said it starts at 07:55 tomorrow morning. Checked my box and it's scheduled to record but shows it starting at 08:00. Online TV listings also still say an 08:00 start.
If I leave it as is, I guarantee it'll miss the 1st 5 minutes.
That's fine if you remember to do it every time, but kinda defeats the object of having a series record where you don't need to remember. The preceding programme will be different each time, so can't be done as a recurring thing.
Would it really be so hard for BT to set the schedule correctly in the 1st place? This isn't a one-off.
My recording this morning started at 7:55am although the time had a scheduled started of 8am. Sounding like a problem that was fixed for my G4 but not for your Pro.
Thanks, that's really useful. I'll give them a call to see what they say & add any update here.
