This is my view.
If as has been indicated that this is not a BT problem, if it wasn't, then every other provider of TV recording boxes would also have the same recording problem of short recordings, which they don't! If they did the Internet would be awash with complaints. Only BT has the problem and in the name of good customer service, they should sort it out forthwith.
Hi Budhabaker.
As you may be aware, I’ve been posting this problem for “years” and as far as I’m aware, NOBODY from BT even looks at this site...
I’ve tried everything I’ve been made aware of, from changing the hardware downward, and it still occurs on a regular basis, VERY annoying.
If BT/EE cared about this community site then something would have been done, EVEN to acknowledge, and perhaps admit defeat….
I have the same problem - engineer been and said can’t do anything as it is re problem above his pay grade. Spoke to executive complaint at BT and he said no one else has this problem which is not true as engineer said numerous complaints to him in last six months- what to do? Recordings cut short all the time and when fast forward goes back to beginning. Really bad
Not sure if this is relevant but I had similar problems to yourself for some while and problem re-occurs still sometimes but nowhere near as bad.My problem is evidently linked to Subtitles so I'm wondering if you use them also and if you have noticed that your problems stem from "tinkering" with them (seems to sometimes cause current Recordings to stop and displayed Channel to revert to Channel 1 BBC1).Anyway,Good Luck.
Thanks for your help. Rang complaints at bt today and their attitude was if you don’t like it leave as there is no problem😩
