Re: Ultra Boost on Now

I would look at getting Now direct before looking at getting Sky Stream.

There is always discounts being offered for the Now service if you have it direct.

Also 30% of TV shows as well as movies on the Now service are in Ultra HD/4k if you have the Now Ultra HD Boost.

Think some of Sky Sports is also in Ultra HD/4k but as I dont have the sports package I cant confirm this.

I also have Netflix direct with standard without ads plus extra member. Dont have Ultra HD with Netflx only due to the monthly cost.

Also have Prime with ads that includes Ultra HD and have Disney+ Ultra HD without ads plus extra member but there is not much content in Ultra HD on Disney+ and I thinking of downgrading my Disney+ to standard without ads  and keeping extra member to save money.

I had Now direct for a few years. Very good deals to be had, but the service is limited to Sky's channels only. The thing with EETV (in IP mode), and Stream is the selection of live channels that are included in HD as standard. Depends of course on what you want, you pays your money etc etc etc.

Re: Ultra Boost on Now

I wonder is the 4K Ultraboost coming soon for BT /EE tv customers?

I subscribe to Now TV via BT and I also access it via an Amazon 4k Firestick using the same account.

A few times over the last few weeks when I've opened the Now TV app on the Firestick a popup box type graphic appears saying "Ultraboost Upgrade Now Available, please contact BT for info"

That may not be the exact wording of the message but that is the jist of it and it is interesting that Now are displaying the message.

@Kodikid we've had Sky Stream for a couple of years and it's brilliant...

Re: Ultra Boost on Now

Done deal for me now with Sky. When I spoke to BT yesterday they acknowledged that the Ultra Boost was not yet available through them. In my case the swap over was a no brainer as Sky were offering me such a good deal to swap over. Only time will tell whether the service is better or worse but for me is was worth the risk.

Re: Ultra Boost on Now

@M18ntt I would have  still look at the Now service direct before thinking about getting Sky Stream.

I seem happy with the Now service in over a year since I had it.

Have at times though about Sky Stream but Now service direct seems fine.

Re: Ultra Boost on Now

I’ve looked at this more recently and I think the price through EETV bundle is cheaper.

EETV Big Sport £48 includes TNT, Discovery +, Now Sky Sports, Now boost.

EETV Sport is £23 ( TNT, Discovery +) so £25 per for sky sports and boost compared to NOW £26 sky sports and £6 for boost £32 in total.

Suggests EETV Big Sport is a better all round package

Even direct with Sky there pricing seems higher.

i moved from sky stream to EETV Box Pro significant improvement.

Re: Ultra Boost on Now

Remember 2 simple facts

1.. Now literally always have "offers "

2...you will never get UHD through EE.

I currently pay £4 for Boost UHD. Your EE contract will rise twice through your contract .

Walk away

Re: Ultra Boost on Now

Im also paying £4 a month for Ultra HD Boost via Now direct till mid October.

Have  had the Now service direct well over 18 months now.

May not get as meany channels as EETV or with Sky Steam but it does me and it comes with discounts.

Also have Freeview and other services and if I want extra channels and content I can always watch it whenever im at my sisters.
