Britbox - BT register account and "Creating new accounts is disabled."

Go to solution

Followed the link from BT but simply cannot register on the Britbox site, getting the message "Creating new accounts is disabled".  Never had Britbox before, either paid for or a free trial.

The link should be removed from BT site. Britbox are no longer accepting new UK customers and you have to go to ITVX.

Hi @StevosGloriosus and @ozsat

Thanks for getting in touch and for letting me know about this error.

I am sorry that the page is still up. I'll have this sent off to our teams during the week so the old page can be taken down.

Thank you
DanielS

@StevosGloriosus I don't think that offer is available now as Britbox doesn't exist as a standalone product any longer. It's now part of ITVx's premium subscription

@DanielS @NigelB72 Ta. Which makes it irritating that BT specifically said two weeks ago,

"In addition, as you've renewed with us today you're also eligible for six months free of BritBox if you have not had it before, courtesy of BT (normally £5.99 per month) . It's completely optional but it's something for nothing, and there's no commitment to it if you sign up ... it's a little something from us to say thanks for sticking with us. You can manage this through your MyBT."
