Hello,
I've recently switched my landline from BT over to Virgin Media via their fibre network - I've also recently had my living room re-plastered with new skirting board and my master BT phone socket has not yet been put back on the wall.
As I have moved my landline over, and with the old phone networks being digitised by 2025, so I still need my old socket? It looks older that most I've seen online, but not sure.
Am I able to terminate this back to the point where it enters the house? Or should I just remount to the new skirting board?
Thanks in advance for any helpful advice!

Welcome to this user forum for BT Retail phone and broadband customers.
As you are now a Virgin Media customer, your old Openreach phone socket will not be used and will not be needed in the future. Its up to you what you do with the internal wiring and master socket.
The wiring and socket have nothing to do with BT Retail.
