All past emails moved to spam

All my emails from the past two years (thousands) have been moved into the spam folder overnight.

Any ideas how to get them back without having to go into each individually?

Re: All past emails moved to spam

Log on to your email account using a web browser. Go to the spam box and tick the box at the left hand side in the manu bar at the top of the list. This will select the emails although it may only be 50 at a time and you can then drag and drop them back to the folder that you want.

You could also try and hold down the shift key then tick the box to the left of the first email you want to move in the list of emails then scroll down using the scroll bar on the right hand side or use the PgDown key and tick the last email you want to move then release the shift key. It will select all the emails in between.  You can then drag and drop them into your chosen folder.

Thanks - the problem with that is that they are mixed in with all the genuine spam so still needs sorting manually one at a time.

Re: All past emails moved to spam

Looks like you have a lot of sorting to do in that case.

Assuming the thousands of mails were all in your Inbox you should perhaps consider a better filling system than you are using at present when you get them all sorted out.

The first thing is to empty your spam folder on a regular basis and do not use the Inbox as a storage folder. It is a dynamic folder and as you have found things can go wrong with it.
