Email Issues

when i attempt to log in to email on my laptop I either get 400 Bad Request or when/if I do get into it, the layout is completely different.

Can anyone explain why, and how I can sort this.

Thank you 🙂

Re: Email Issues

Have you tried clearing your web browser's history and cookies?

When you do that make sure that you select the option "Clear All Time" if your browser offers that option.

Re: Email Issues

Yes I've done that, and tried to use a different browser but it still looks odd (the page layout that is).

Everything seems fine on my phone though.

But I do a lot of work on  my laptop and I either still can't log in to my mail or when I do the layout is odd/different.

Re: Email Issues

In what way is the page lay out odd?

Have you tried click on the "View" button just below the menu bar on the right hand side and selecting a different view?

Re: Email Issues

so, when i try to go in via Chrome, it says 400 Bad Request

If I go into My BT is says Sorry we can't get your account details, and it shows my Account number as invalid. However if I go into my account, I can retrieve my account number, which is still very much active, as I pay for the privilege.

when I use Edge browser, I can get into the email. But as said previously, it is a different 'style' and layout.

For starters there is no 'change view' option

If I go into settings it just says [ choose option to change setting menu (I)

At the very bottom of the page it says - change UI and (in bold) Go to Rich UI

The page only shows 10 emails at a time, and they are surrounded by a red box.

I'm getting very comfoozled now :{

Re: Email Issues

To establish if the problem is coming from your home network or your laptop are you able to try and access your email account using a different device on a different network such as at a friend or family members house?

If you can access your email account there and all appears well, then try using your laptop on their network to see if the laptop works OK there.

If it does not work that would point to a problem with your laptop.

If it does work it would point to a problem with your home network/connection.
