Exactly the same problem here, using Firefox. I have to type out the full email address for each new email I compose. I hope it gets fixed soon!!
@BattyMatty @Oddbodkin Have you complained to Mozilla as the problem lies with Firefox, not BT.
Seems to only Firefox . Use another site like microsoft edge . Gmail
@Oddbodkin it has been stated on the thread multiple times that it is a Firefox problem
When I start adding a contact name it comes ujp with the suggestion. However when I click on the name it puts in the first 4 letters and a X . error message. So it does not work. If I select a contact by clicking on the " to:" it will let me select and it loads correctly. Any suggestions to get it back working in auto mode.
Also BT is taking an age to download onto my IPAD. OK on other devices.
There have been similar reports regarding the email address but it appears that it is a Firefox web browser problem.

How are you accessing your BTMail account, is it with an email client/app and if so which one or are you using a web browser and if so which one?
When you say " BT is taking an age to download onto my IPAD" what part of BT is it BTMail, Your MyBT, the BT Broadband Packages web page etc etc You will need to be more specific.
If it is only happening on your iPad have you tried restarting the iPad?
Have you tried clearing the history and cookies of the web browser that you are using? When you do that make sure that you select the option "Clear All Time" if your browser offers that option.
