This login problem still blocks email login of either Chrome or Firefox on my PC. The fault has never been cured for me. I still get the repeating login. I now obtain my emails on Edge. I was interested in Tony0's message and the method of deleting files. I pressed F12 and found the Tab "storage" but not "Clear Site Data" & nothing to point / select clearing files. I would be grateful if someone could give me a more detailed route to deleting files and which ones to delete.

Press F12, there's a top menu in the developer window (elements/console/sources/network/ etc). You may need to scroll right on the menu bar (or expand the size of the developer window to see all options).
Select "Application". You should then see a menu down the left side of the pain which includes "Storage"
Click on "Storage". There is then an option in the developer pane to "clear site data" along with a check box to "include 3rd party cookies".
Post if that works for you.
This has worked for me... I'm now on day 3 without an issue 🙂
