Random incoming mail goes into "sent" Any fixes?

Go to solution

I have been getting random incoming mail messages (including known contacts) going into the sent "sent" folder. Any fixes, please?

Call centre guides

Do the call centre "guides" actually have access to any account query you have previously called in?
They seem to start from the beginning each time, they have no idea what action might have been taken- and calls take over an hour - and still remain unresolved. Why isn't the narrative visible on My BT?

Hi @Mr-Muddy-Paws

I know you mentioned it's random messages going to your Sent folder, but is there any pattern to this? for example specific contacts go to sent, but other contacts don't?

I have looked for a pattern or similarities but none are obvious

Hi @Mr-Muddy-Paws

I know you've mentioned calling our customer support team previously, but I can only recommend speaking with them again, so that they can continue looking into this.

Please come back and let us know how it goes.

Chris

Log on to your email account and click on your user name at the top right then go to settings.

On the left hand side go to Mail then Rules then check that nothing has been set up that would send emails to the sent folder.

If there is delete the Rule.

I hadn't set any rules but there was one sitting there which I have now deleted. It was clear what criteria it was using.
I will see what happens over the next day or so.
Thank you.

If you haven't done it already, I would also check for any other settings you didn't put in and then change your password.

Rules don't just insert themselves, after all!
