BT youview box locked up

Hi, my by youview box is locked up. Whenever I reset via the on/off switch it goes to the waking up screen and just freezes unable to do anything. There is a solid blue light on LHS when this happens. Thanks

If it's just cycling through the waking up sequence without actually going any further it's more than likely a harddrive failure. As long as you have an active BT TV subscription, BT will replace it for you.

Hi @russ21345  and welcome back.

Sorry you're having problems with the STB. I reckon @NigelB72 is correct. Your best bet would be to give us a call and get it replaced as it sounds like the hard drive is kapput.

Rang BT today and a new box will be delivered tomorrow. Not an uncommon issue I am told.
