BT4600 Premium Nuisance Call Blocker Cordless Phone. Message Full "Flashing F"

My elderly neighbour recently purchased a BT 4600 Premium Nuisance Call Blocker Cordless Phone with answer machine. Whenever he switches on the answer phone he now keeps getting a "message full" reminder. There is a flashing "F" on display. When he tries to delete all the messages he gets a voice message saying "no old messages." 

We have been through his phone's instruction book and followed the instructions for deleting all messages, but the phone will not delete. It just keeps reminding him the the message box is full.

Can anyone offer any advice?

If you have been unable to get this resolved and the phone should be in warranty of recently purchased then please call the product helpdesk on 0800 145 6789. It's open Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm, Saturday 9am to 2pm.

Hello John,

Thanks for your advice. I did manage to get through to your helpline later this morning. The lady I spoke to was very helpful and gave me a clear and concise explanation of how to correct the difficulty my elderly neighbour was facing. I telephoned him and repeated the instructions she gave me and he rang me back an hour later to say he'd followed the instuctions and had managed to correct the problem. (he did well for a gentleman of 82!).

Hello 

Bear with me as I am new to this type of communication

All I am trying to do is to find the solution to the problem of "Mailbox Full" on voice over  and "No Messages" on my handset 

The phone in question is BT4600 & I can see others have a similar problem 

Who has the answer please ?

Hi @abc345def678, unfortunately, the original poster hasn't been back to the community for quite some time so they may not reply to share their solution. I'd recommend following the guidance on page 61 BT 4600 manual it explains how you can delete old played messages. Give that a try and let me know how you get on.
