Box reset

The instructions for a box reset don't seem to work for my box (recordable TV box). After doing the power off then on and pressing the down arrow button for 5 seconds I don't get the Enter Maintenance Mode Y/N message, the box just goes through the start up routine.

Thanks for posting about resetting the STB. Sorry you're having problems. The box may be faulty but can you just take a look at How do I reset my BT TV box?  before we go any further?

Hi David,

These are the instructions I followed but they are not quite correct. Found some other posts on the topic and now know that you need to have the down arrow pressed as you power the box back on. Factory reset now done OK. 

Problem I have is that fast forward of recordings is a bit erratic. Lets see if the reset helps.
