Re: Bt Engineers can't fix my broadband

I've had to reset it many times for this exact reason.

I change the password for the wifi, save, thats OK. I then change the Channel just for the 5Ghz band and save, it saves, then I reconnect to the wifi and enter the password I changed it to, it wont accept it. I try the original password , doesn't accept it.

So I have to reset the SH2 and start over. Simply won't work. I've no idea what password its expecting. This is just one of the reasons I want to use a 3rd party router, so I can split the bands with different SSID's.

EDIT : I've not tried to set BOTH bands at the same time, so I can try that.

Re: Bt Engineers can't fix my broadband

Hi @LeVzi,

It may be worth us looking into replacing your Smart Hub 2 if there appears to be an issue with it.

Let me know if this is something that you'd like us to do.

Thanks

Re: Bt Engineers can't fix my broadband

I appreciate that, i'll wait to see what happens on Wednesday when Openreach come out, and if im stuck with the SH2 , i'll get it returned, because I literally cannot change the channel.
