Call-blocking phone.

Does it happen to be the Decor 2200?

As @NeilO  has said, if they withhold their number, then they are likely to be asked to announce themselves.

If you turn call blocking off, and ask them to ring you, does their number show up on the phone display?

Or you can dial 1471 after they call, and see if it tells you their number.

Re: Call blocking

@Hammersmith, Thanks for clarifying, it really sounds like the person who is calling is withholding their number when the ring you. They may have their line set up to do that on all calls but if they have a BT line then they can put 1470 before your number when calling you and it will allow your call blocking phone to see their number and allow it through.

Re: Call blocking

@Hammersmith

Which phone do you have? Some allow you to block by area code, and its possible you have done that by mistake.

If you disable call blocking, is their number displayed on your phone?

Does BT Retail provide your phone service?
